Quick Guide

The most important aspect of live streaming is a stable internet connection.  Make sure you run a speed test and that your UPLOAD speed is at least 5mbps or 5,000kbps.

If you are using your Cellular connection to live stream, be aware that you may run out of data and your provider will lower your upload speed which may cause issues.

 

  1. MUST WATCH How to live stream to YouTube.
  2. Make sure you have app version 1.3.147 or newer installed.
  3. Create a google account with an existing Gmail email or other email if needed.
  4. Press the broadcast icon in the Scout App. 
  5. Select YouTube.
  6. Allow Scout to use google.com by selecting Continue.
  7. If using a new account, allow Scout to Manage your YouTube account and Continue.  Or choose the account you want to stream with.
  8. Enter and Even Name and choose your Privacy.
  9. Select Go Live.
  10. You will now see all the streaming controls in the top left of the app.  You will see if you are Live or Reconnecting, the broadcast speed, and you can mute the stream or stop the stream.
  11. If you see a message saying that your YouTube Streaming is Not Enabled, please follow this guide.

 

IMPORTANT: If you mute the live stream your recorded video or highlights will be muted as well.

  3. Create a google account with an existing Gmail email or other email.  Follow the instructions to create a google account if you do not have one.
  4. Press the broadcast icon in the Scout App. 
  5. Select YouTube.
  6. Allow Scout to use google.com by selecting Continue.
  7. If using a new account, allow Scout to Manage your YouTube account and Continue.  If using an existing account, Choose an account you want to stream with.
  8. Enter and Event Name and choose your Privacy.
  9. Select Go Live.
  10. You will now see all the streaming controls in the top left of the app.  You will see if you are Live or Reconnecting, the broadcast speed, and you can mute the stream or stop the stream.
